Chinese Culture Week – “Abundance in Clothing and Food”
Date: 13/02/2025
Chinese Culture Week
This year, our school’s Chinese Culture Week was held on February 13th and 14th, with the theme of "Abundance in Clothing and Food." The event aimed to showcase the Chinese people's pursuit of cultural and spiritual enrichment by introducing the traditions of Chinese attire and cuisine. The activities were richly diverse, including experiences such as wearing traditional Chinese clothing, solving lantern riddles, practicing calligraphy, and appreciating exhibitions of miniature qipaos and tie-dye works. Participants also had the opportunity to create glass bead bracelets and scented sachets.
Moreover, students were able to savor traditional Chinese delicacies such as Chinese tea, candied hawthorns, sugar paintings, glutinous rice balls, and tea eggs, while also learning the Five-Step Fist martial art and principles of Chinese wellness practices. Through these multifaceted activities, participants were able to gain a deeper understanding of and firsthand experience with the essence of Chinese culture.
