Guilin-Hong Kong Youth Exchange Tour

In late February, our teachers and students embarked on an enriching seven-day study tour to Guilin. The itinerary offered diverse learning experiences, from exploring genetic engineering at Hannover Bio-Tech to learning about national defense at the Military Science Park. The delegation also visited the historic Xingping Fishing Village along the scenic Li River and engaged in meaningful educational exchanges, volunteer teaching, and handicraft workshops at Guilin Kuiguang School and Guilin Medical University, successfully strengthening cross-regional youth friendships.

 

The most touching aspect of this journey was witnessing our students' immense thirst for knowledge. Stepping away from textbooks and into cutting-edge laboratories and ancient villages, they marveled at modern biotechnology and built lasting bonds with their Mainland peers. True to the proverb, "Traveling ten thousand miles beats reading ten thousand books," this tour was far more than a scientific exploration; it was a profound lesson in cultural identity and heritage that we hope will inspire our students to continue exploring the development of our motherland.
