South China Morning Post——Chinese Costume Day and Intangible Cultural Heritage Carnival
Date: 24/01/2026
Teachers dress up as police bailiffs, or “yamen runners”, as they were known in imperial China, along with students clad in traditional Chinese clothing at Tsang Pik Shan (Sung Lan) Secondary School in Ma On Shan.
Behind the costumed characters is the largest and most colourful flower board to be made and displayed at a city school as part of this year’s Chinese Costume Day and Intangible Cultural Heritage Carnival.
