Date: 06/02/2023
In addition to collaborating with the library and the Life Science Department, the Health Management and Social Care (HMSC) Department had also invited various teachers to participate in the Week of Health. This activity aimed to enable students to embody the spirit of social caring, promote the concept of health management at school, and showcase their learning outcomes.
The activities included:
- Form 4 HMSC students measuring their peers’ physical health during the lunch break.
- A teacher lunchtime sharing session: Mr. Wong, the assistant principal, shared about his “Healthy Lifestyle Patterns”, and Mr. Yeung shared about “Why Can’t I Lose Weight?”
- Form 5 HMSC students holding an “Elderly Health Exhibition” during the lunch break, sharing their learning achievements from the design mindset workshop, and completing a reflection on their “field study”.
- Collaborating with the library, the activity involved exhibiting books related to healthy living, which were made available for students to borrow.
- Arranging Form 4 HMSC students to attend a lecture titled “Structural Biology and Drug Discovery: How Basic Science Saves Lives” at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
